Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) will be conducting their graduation ceremony on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 in the afternoon at the QLN Conference Center located at 1938 Avenida del Oro, Oceanside, CA 92056.
Each dog that went through CCI’s program will serve as a companion to people with disabilities. They have been in training for two years and know up to 50 commands that will help them in everyday practical tasks.
This event is free and open to the public.
Following the graduation, the furry friends will be undergoing an intensive two-week residential team training course at the Canine Companions Southwest Regional Facility in Oceanside.
CCI is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. Volunteer breeder caretakers provide homes for the breeder dogs and whelp the puppies, returning the puppies to CCI national headquarters in Santa Rosa, California at age eight weeks.
