The City of Carlsbad together with the Solana Center for Environmental Innovation is inviting all to attend the free workshops regarding basics of traditional composting and vermicomposting happening on Saturday, June 13, 2015. The workshop will be from 10:00 in the morning until 12:00 noon at the Batiquitos Lagoon Nature Center, 7380 Gabbiano Lane, Carlsbad, California.
Attendees will get to learn on what is composting and why is it so important, what kind of tools and materials one needs, which particular items are compostable and which are not, as well as how to harvest and use the compost.
