As a person’s age increases through the years, so does the body decrease in its optimum level of functioning. One such problem that those who get older have to struggle with is the prominence of visual impairment. It is in light with this reality that Dr. Michael K. Tracy of Carlsbad Eye Care is offering his valuable expertise for free for those in need of eye examinations and information surrounding these degenerative conditions. This activity has already pushed forth last July 26. There will be free quarterly eye screenings thereafter dated on August at the Senior Center.
Dubbed “Healthy Vision for Life,” this event will impart important knowledge regarding the different signs and symptoms of common eye problems as well as how to prevent them. There will be a presentation of the different eye diseases and the physiological changes that they invoke. Some of the topics to be discussed are Glaucoma, Cataracts, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Macular Degeneration. Those who wish to witness this demonstration are freely welcome to.
