Looking for an activity to boost your knowledge in culture? Why not attend the “Jazz and the African American Vocal Artist” on Saturday, February 9 in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms?
The performance by Michael Paul Smith and friends will include a vocal jazz concert with narrative. The concert will highlight pillars of the vocal jazz world and their significance in the African American experience and socially unifying efforts.
This event kicks off Black History Month, inspiring the community to seek a greater understanding of past times and helping connect the dots to reveal a clearer picture of African American cultural and musical history.
