All are requested to be part of the Thursday Afternoon Book Club happening on Thursday, November 13, 2014. The event will be from 2:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon at the Georgina Cole Library, Community Room, 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, California.
Attendees will get to learn about Room: A Novel by Emma Donoghue. The story is about a five-year-old who narrates his life growing up inside a single room wherein his mother focuses in protecting him from a man who has held her prisoner for seven years since she was a teenager.
Participating at such activities allow individuals to have a better understanding on the literary works of varied authors. More so, it gives people ample time to value books instead of just using gadgets like smartphones and tablets.
